Sentry's Torch is a Torch in Elden Ring. It becomes available partway through a run, in the Altus Plateau.

The Sentry's Torch was given to protectors of the Erdtree, its flame blessed with an incantation that reveals assassins cloaked in veils so that a Night of Black Knives would never come again. It is sold by the Hermit Merchant at his shack in the Capital Outskirts for 7,000 runes. Simply having it equipped reveals invisible enemies such as the Black Knife Assassins of Ordina, Liturgical Town and the Sage's Cave, and players using the Concealing Veil, even when it hangs on the back or the stat requirements are not met. It deals physical and holy damage with Strength and Faith scaling, though it is weak as a weapon. It suits any character as an off-hand utility item, and a Faith character can also fight with it.

Why Players Pick It

Sentry's Torch is the torch most players actually carry. It reveals invisible enemies even when stowed on the back and without meeting its stat requirements, and it exposes players wearing the Concealing Veil, which solves the invisible boss in Sage's Cave and the assassins in the Ordina Liturgical Town Evergaol. It is also the only holy torch, with 100 holy at base.
