The Nightrider Glaive is a Halberd in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find in the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

The Nightrider Glaive is a jet-black glaive with a blade as weighty as a bludgeon, the weapon of the Night's Cavalry who ride funeral steeds. It is dropped, along with an Ash of War, by the Night's Cavalry that patrols at night between the East Raya Lucaria Gate and Bellum Church in Liurnia of the Lakes. It excels at weighty slashes that crash into foes, its heavy attack is an overhead slam rather than the usual horizontal sweep, and its high mounted motion values make it strong on horseback. With a Heavy affinity it reaches S scaling in Strength at high upgrade levels, and after a roar buff its heavy attack becomes a piercing lunge. It suits a pure Strength character.

How to Get Nightrider Glaive Guide

Dropped alongside the Ash of War: Giant Hunt by a Night's Cavalry miniboss in Liurnia of the Lakes, who patrols immediately north of the East Raya Lucaria Gate grace where the Finger Reader Crone is.
The cavalry only spawns during nighttime.

Skill

Spinning Slash costs 6 FP. The wielder spins the whole body to slash foes in a wide circle, and an additional input adds two more spins. Small weapons spin quickly, while greatswords, spears, halberds and other large weapons use a slower, sweeping version. The skill cannot be parried. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

"Skill favored by dexterous warriors. Slash foes as your body spins. Additional input allows for a follow-up attack."

Suggested Build

A pure Strength halberd: buff with a roar, then use the overhead heavy slam and the roar-enhanced piercing lunge to stagger armored enemies.

Affinity	Heavy, which gives it S scaling in Strength at high upgrade levels.
