The Scepter of the All-Knowing is a Hammer in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Mid game. It is found around Altus Plateau, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.

Why Players Pick It

64 magic at +0 with D Int, the only Intelligence-scaling Hammer, and the only Strike/Pierce weapon in the class so it can do thrusting counterattacks. The catch is the worst Sta figure in all five classes on and only 99 base physical. 12 Str / 18 Dex / 21 Int. Drops from Sir Gideon Ofnir.

Upgrades

It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.

Skill

Knowledge Above All costs 35 FP. Raise the scepter to manifest the realm of the All-Knowing. Enemy magic and holy damage negation will be reduced for all within the area, including the caster. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at E, Dex at D and Int at D, so Dex and Int are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 12, Dex 18 and Int 21 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.

Scepter in the form of a hand grasping a pearl. Signature weapon of Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing. The pearl stands for the world, the heavens, and an eye, representing the many forms of knowledge, never fully attainable. Even knowing that, the All-Knowing's hand grasps for it.
