The Placeable Gem Forge is a Gem Forge that can be built inside a base. It upgrades gems and sets them into weapons at home. It is the reward of the Ancient Researcher's quest A Gem Forge Of Our Own.
Lore
An Ancient engineer began work on these forges but had to give up. The elders ruled that gems held too little energy to power the Ancients' ascent. The engineer locked the blueprints away on an upper floor, hoping to come back one day. The construction notes call for a basalt body, a gold alloy conduit and diamond lattices. They also warn that a forge with too little room for Archaic Essences may burst into flame.
Notes
Setting gems into weapons also uses Archaic Essence VII.
How to Get Placeable Gem Forge Guide
The quest points to a hidden recipe spot in The Ancient Citadel. The notes lie on an upper floor, behind a door that a button below opens. The Ancient Researcher then crafts the forge from Basalt, Gold Dust, Celestium Bars, Moonstone Dust, Diamond Dust and Archaic Infusion.
