The Tankard sits among the weapons but is nothing of the sort. Finewood from a Meadows birch and a little resin buy a Viking something to raise by the fire. It has 4 block armour, or 6 when you parry with it at its 1.5x bonus.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 1 Workbench from:
- 5x Finewood: chopped from birch and oak trees with a bronze axe or better.
- 2x Resin: dropped by Greydwarves and Greylings, and by felled trees.

When to Use It
Use it in the early game. The birch grows in the Meadows, but Finewood needs a bronze axe, and bronze is made from Black Forest copper and tin, which means after Eikthyr and the Antler Pickaxe.
