The Purgener is a draconic creature of the Unmoored World that descends when the Arisen approaches one of the pillars of red light that appear across the land. Each region has its own Purgener, and they come either as winged, dragon-like beasts or as great serpentine worms.
How to Beat the Purgener
A Purgener does not roam freely; it is called down only when the Arisen interacts with a red beam of light, so the fight begins on the Arisen's own terms.
Where to Find the Purgener
Purgeners appear only in the Unmoored World. The Vermund Purgener descends from the light beside the ruins south of Vernworth, the Sacred Arbor Purgener rises near the Sacred Arbor, and on Agamen Volcanic Island the Volcanic Island Purgener appears from the island's red light while the Island Encampment Purgener is summoned east of the Excavation Site.

Purgener Quests
Halls of the First Dawn sends the Arisen across the Unmoored World to evacuate its people before the red fog swallows the land. Red pillars of light rise over Vernworth, the Sacred Arbor, Bakbattahl and Agamen Volcanic Island, and a Purgener descends at each of them. Slaying the Purgeners holds back the end of the world while the evacuation goes on.
