The Slime is a gelatinous monster that oozes slowly through caves and over rough ground. Weapons pass through it without effect, so it has to be beaten with magick, and it fills several caves of Vermund and Battahl.
Slime Lore
Slimes are described as crawling slowly across even the most tangled terrain while the substances in their bodies dissolve anything that blocks their way. Physical attacks do nothing to them.
How to Beat the Slime
Ordinary blows and arrows are useless against a Slime, so a party needs spells or elemental attacks to harm it. Ice works best, freezing the creature in place. A Slime will also try to seize and engulf anyone who strays too close, which can be deadly if the victim is not freed.
Where to Find the Slime
Slimes are the main foes inside The Mountains' Secret and lurk in the deeper tunnels of Waterfall Cave. One guards a chest at the highest point of Darkhorde Cave, others ooze through the tunnels and cave rooms of Digger's Ruins, and more lurk in Guerco Cavern.
