The Lesser Dragon is a sickly, cyst-covered cousin of the Dragon that looks much like a Drake but bears an open wound in its chest, where a heart should be, that spills acid. One attacks Melve during Readvent of Calamity and, if it survives, retreats to the top of Dragonsbreath Tower, and more of its kind appear once the world is unmoored.
How to Beat the Lesser Dragon
The Lesser Dragon fights much like a Drake but casts no spells. Its weak points are the pus-filled cysts on its body; destroying all of them topples the creature and leaves it open to heavy damage. Once it recovers it rears up and lets out a roar that throws off anyone clinging to it, drains their stamina and regrows its cysts. The acid it spills from its chest is a danger of its own. Ice is its elemental weakness.
Where to Find the Lesser Dragon
The Lesser Dragon first appears at Melve during Readvent of Calamity. If it is driven off rather than slain, it roosts at the top of Dragonsbreath Tower in Battahl, where Sigurd joins the Arisen for the fight. In the Unmoored World, Lesser Dragons appear on the dried riverbed near Harve Village, south of Moonswax Bridge on Agamen Volcanic Island, on the dry riverbed north of Guerco Cavern and in the country west of Bakbattahl.

Lesser Dragon Quests
Readvent of Calamity brings a Lesser Dragon down on Melve, so the village suffers a dragon's attack once again. The Arisen helps defend it, and the beast can either be repelled once it has taken enough damage or slain outright.
A New Godsway sends the Arisen in search of Wyrmslife Crystals, and the oracle Luz at the Reverent Shrine points the way to Dragonsbreath Tower. A Lesser Dragon waits at the top, and Sigurd joins the fight against it.
Legacy reaches its turning point at Moonglint Tower, where Phaesus completes his ritual and summons a Lesser Dragon of his own, only for the true Dragon to appear and strike it down.
