The Azur's Glintstone Staff is a Glintstone Staff in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Mid game. It is found around Academy of Raya Lucaria, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.

Why Players Pick It

The casting-speed staff, and the only staff a Faith build should care about. It adds 40 'virtual' Dexterity for casting speed, the speed-up applies to BOTH incantations and sorceries and works from either active hand, but the +20% FP cost applies only to sorceries, so an incantation caster can hold it off-hand at no cost but weight. 's numbers at +10: 254 Sorcery Scaling at 52 Int, 279 at 60, 320 at 70, 362 at 80.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Int at B, so Int is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 10 and Int 52 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

Staff of the primeval glintstone sorcerer Azur. Only those who have glimpsed what lies beyond the wisdom of stone may wield it. Reduces casting time of sorceries, but consumes additional FP.

How to Get Azur's Glintstone Staff Guide

  • Found in a secluded room on the highest level of the Church of the Cuckoo.
  • The level can be accessed via the rooftops of the Academy of Raya Lucaria.
  • From the Debate Parlor site of grace, go outside to the left until you meet two Raya Lucaria Sorcerers.
  • Jump down on the stairs next to them.
  • Continue forward until you can jump onto the rooftops.
  • Then, proceed further and go up the ladder at the end of said rooftops.
  • After the sorcerer, go down on the rooftops again, until you can see a dome-like structure that has windows.
  • Go through one of the windows, and descend onto the lower floor.
  • One of the exits leads to a enclosed bridge, with a High Page guarding the secluded room.
  • The staff is in the room behind him, in front of the inactive School of Graven Mages.
