The Bloodstained Dagger is a Dagger in Elden Ring. It can be picked up early in a run.

The Bloodstained Dagger is a dagger whose blade grew sharper and harder as blood darkened it through repeated slashing and stabbing, and it afflicts targets with blood loss. It is a rare drop from Demi-Human Chiefs, including one asleep before the bridge to the Minor Erdtree in the Weeping Peninsula. It scales better with Strength than most daggers while keeping a dagger's critical rating, and its blood loss buildup grows with Arcane on affinities that add Arcane scaling. Its default skill, Quickstep, repositions quickly for follow-up attacks. It suits a Strength or Strength and Arcane bleed build that wants a fast sidearm.

Skill

Quickstep costs 3 FP. The wielder performs a quick sidestep in any direction with a burst of invulnerability frames, a little shorter on repeated uses. Stepping sideways while locked on circles around the target, and an attack right after the step comes out as a rolling or backstep attack depending on the direction. It covers more ground with a light equip load and costs very little FP. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.
