The Erdsteel Dagger is an erdsteel blade engraved with a grass crest, carried by Erdtree royalty for self-defense in times of peace. It is given by Kenneth Haight once Fort Haight has been cleared, and another lies on a corpse in a pit off the avenue in Leyndell, Royal Capital. It handles like a light, fast dagger, and its heavy attack is a unique chain of quick double slashes shared with the Black Knife. Its Faith scaling feeds its physical damage on every affinity, so a Sacred or Flame Art infusion doubles up on Faith and pulls far ahead of its other affinities. It suits a Dexterity and Faith character who wants a quick dagger to dual wield and buff.

Kenneth Haight gives it after Fort Haight is cleared for him, and another lies on a corpse in a pit northwest of the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital.

Find Kenneth Haight atop the ruins over the road between the Mistwood Outskirts and Third Church of Marika Sites of Grace in northeastern Limgrave.
Agree to take back his fort.
Travel to Fort Haight and defeat the Godrick Knight on its battlements.
Return to Kenneth atop the ruins and talk to him to receive the dagger.

Skill

Quickstep costs 3 FP. The wielder performs a quick sidestep in any direction with a burst of invulnerability frames, a little shorter on repeated uses. Stepping sideways while locked on circles around the target, and an attack right after the step comes out as a rolling or backstep attack depending on the direction. It covers more ground with a light equip load and costs very little FP. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Dual wield a pair for fast combo chains that grow stronger with successive hits, buffing with incantations before engaging and using a mobility skill to stay on top of the target.
