The Dagger is a Dagger in Elden Ring.

The Dagger is a standard straight-bladed dagger, modest in reach and damage but light enough to jab in rapid succession and to deliver devastating critical hits. It is sold by the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold and drops from Highwaymen and various Foot Soldiers. It has the lowest Dexterity requirement of any dagger, usable by every starting class, and one of the highest critical ratings in the game. It is the shortest of the daggers but accepts Ashes of War and affinities. It suits any character who wants a cheap backstab and riposte tool, and especially a Dexterity build.

4% drop chance from dagger-wielding enemies (Highwaymen, Godrick Foot Soldiers, Raya Lucaria Foot Soldiers, Radahn Foot Soldiers, Leyndell Foot Soldiers, Haligtree Foot Soldiers, and Messmer Foot Soldiers).
A good early farming spot is all the Highwaymen at the beginning of Murkwater Cave.

Skill

Quickstep costs 3 FP. The wielder performs a quick sidestep in any direction with a burst of invulnerability frames, a little shorter on repeated uses. Stepping sideways while locked on circles around the target, and an attack right after the step comes out as a rolling or backstep attack depending on the direction. It covers more ground with a light equip load and costs very little FP. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.
