The Falchion is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring. It can be picked up early in a run.

The Falchion is a curved sword with a single-sided blade whose slashes struggle against thick armor and hides covered in tough scales. Its wielders use a unique style that adds spinning motions to their attacks. It drops from Demi-Humans that wield it, with a good spot under the ruin where Kenneth Haight first appears north of the Mistwood Outskirts grace. Backstepping or rolling while charging a heavy attack turns it into a slashing dodge that can flow into a forward light attack. It suits a fast Strength and Dexterity build, especially one using status infusions.

Skill

Spinning Slash costs 6 / 12 FP. The wielder spins the whole body to slash foes in a wide circle, and an additional input adds two more spins. Small weapons spin quickly, while greatswords, spears, halberds and other large weapons use a slower, sweeping version. The skill cannot be parried. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Suggested Build

Dual-wield or one-hand it for quick slashes that stack status, using the charged heavy dodge to reposition.
