The Shamshir is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring. It is an early find in the Murkwater Cave.

The Shamshir is a curved sword with a thin blade of ample length, light despite its size, whose slicing attacks come in rapid succession. It lies on a corpse being feasted on by bats at the bottom of the Highroad Cave in Limgrave, close to where the Blue Dancer Charm is found. It shares a unique light attack chain with the Scimitar that advances the wielder further, giving it the longest reach among curved swords, and it is the blade Millicent carries. It scales evenly with Strength and Dexterity and accepts Ashes of War. It suits a Dexterity build that wants a fast, long-reaching curved sword.

How to Get Shamshir Guide

It is found on a corpse near two Man-Bats in a large, water-filled chamber among ancient ruins within Highroad Cave. The cave entrance lies at the northern tip of Limgrave's Murkwater River, connected to Agheel Lake.

Skill

Spinning Slash costs 6 / 12 FP. The wielder spins the whole body to slash foes in a wide circle, and an additional input adds two more spins. Small weapons spin quickly, while greatswords, spears, halberds and other large weapons use a slower, sweeping version. The skill cannot be parried. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Suggested Build

Use its flowing, far-reaching light attack chain to stay aggressive and stack status with a bleed or frost infusion.
