The Eclipse Shotel is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring. It only becomes available late in a run.

The Eclipse Shotel is the storied sword and treasure of Castle Sol, depicting an eclipsed sun drained of color, and one of the legendary armaments. It rests on the altar of the church in Castle Sol. It is fast with short reach, deals physical and holy damage, and its attacks slip past an enemy's guard, ignoring much of their block. Its unique skill, Death Flare, raises the sword to imbue it with death blight so every hit builds Death, and a follow-up input brings it down in a holy explosion. It suits a Dexterity and Faith build.

Death Flare costs 16 FP. The wielder sets the shotel ablaze with the Prince of Death's flames, granting a 45 second weapon buff that adds holy damage and death blight buildup to every hit. An additional input brings the weapon down to trigger an explosion that builds even more death blight. The skill is unique to this weapon and cannot be swapped out.
