The Wing of Astel is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Mid game. It is found around Ainsel River, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.

Why Players Pick It

The class's only real Intelligence option: 65 physical / 78 magic at +0 becoming 159 / 191 at max standard with B Int, at 2.5 weight and Int 20. Nothing else in the class scales magic past D.

Upgrades

It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.

Skill

Nebula costs 20 FP. Imbue the Naturalborn's wings with magic to send forth a dark cloud of stars that lingers briefly before exploding. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at E, Dex at D and Int at D, so Dex and Int are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 7, Dex 17 and Int 20 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.

Sword fashioned from a delicate wing, suffused with the magic of the stars. Strong attack unleashes a wave of enchanted light. Crafted from a relic of the Naturalborn of the Void who is said to have assailed the Eternal City.

How to Get Wing of Astel Guide

Found inside a chest in Uhl Palace Ruins above a Withered Astel, located in Ainsel River and only reachable from Ainsel River Main.
More specifically, from Ainsel River Main site of grace and head down the tunnel.
Take the left split in the road, guarded by a Hardhead Giant Ant, and follow the cliffside path to a stone structure with the chest.
