The Dancing Blade of Ranah is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Land of Shadow in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Upgrades

It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.

Skill

Unending Dance costs 2 FP. A furious dance formed by a succession of slashing attacks. Hold the button down to sustain the dance for as long as stamina allows. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.

Build

Its scaling runs Dex at B, so Dex is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 9 and Dex 20 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.

Notes

Decorative swords ablaze with impassioned red. A pair of weapons made to be wielded in both hands. Used by the dancers of Ranah. Strike enemies with a dancing assault when executing a strong attack.
