Glintstone Dragon Adula is a great boss in Elden Ring.

Glintstone Dragon Adula is a crystal-scaled dragon sworn to Ranni the Witch. It first guards the Three Sisters near Ranni's Rise in northern Liurnia, but flies away once badly hurt. The fight to the death comes later on the Moonlight Altar, outside the Cathedral of Manus Celes. Its glintstone breath, homing crystals and moonlit greatsword make it one of the hardest-hitting dragons in the Lands Between.

Lore

Adula is a great dragon whose scales have grown into jagged blue glintstone. It breathes sorcerous light, bursts crystals at its foes and can conjure a cold blade of moonlight in its jaws.

Adula was a devourer of sorcerers, and the glintstone of its prey corrupted its body. Bested by Ranni, it swore a knightly oath to her Dark Moon.

It now watches over the places tied to Ranni, from her rise in Liurnia to the altar beneath the moon.

Attacks

Glintstone Breath: arcs, streams and flying sprays of magic breath; ride across the stream or get behind it while it breathes.
Crystal Burst: it forms a giant crystal before its mouth that bursts into homing shards; duck behind cover.
Adula's Moonblade: it flies back, conjures a frost greatsword in its maw and swoops in a wide sweep that throws frost blades; move back and to its left as its head turns right, or slip beneath it.
Dragon Dive: it rises and dives down on its target; keep moving and roll as it lands.
Stomps and Bites: close range stomps and lunges; hit its legs from behind.
Wing and Tail Sweeps: sweeps with its wings and tail; back away from the sweep.

Tactics

Ride Torrent and hack at its legs from behind.
Attack while it stands still breathing glintstone.
Use Torrent to escape the Moonblade and the crystal burst.
Fight from the doorway of the Cathedral of Manus Celes, where its breath cannot reach.
Wear armor with high magic and physical defense.
Sorcerers should switch to physical spells, since its scales resist magic strongly.
