Messmer's Kindling is a tool in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
Messmer's Kindling is the dark flame that burned inside Messmer the Impaler. A wicked serpent has eaten away at it. It can burn the sealing tree at the old ruins of Rauh. Burning that tree opens the way to the final part of the Realm of Shadow.
Use
Using the kindling on the Sealing Tree at the Church of the Bud in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh burns away the thorns. With the thorns gone, the way to Enir-Ilim opens.
"The kindling that burned inside Messmer the Impaler, a dark thing, eaten away at by a wicked serpent. Burns the sealing tree said to be found at the old Rauh ruins. Messmer, much like his younger sister, bore a vision of fire."
How to Get Messmer's Kindling Guide
- Climb Shadow Keep to its top.
- Defeat Messmer the Impaler to receive the kindling.
- Travel to the Church of the Bud in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.
- Interact with the Sealing Tree and choose to burn it.
