Elden Ring - Flasks and Tools

Flasks and tools are the reusable items of the inventory. They range from the sacred flasks that heal and restore FP to tools that call Torrent, send homing spirits or turn the user into a dragon. Most of them are never used up, so each one stays useful for the whole journey.

Sacred Flasks

The Flask of Crimson Tears restores HP and the Flask of Cerulean Tears restores FP. Both flasks are received in the Stranded Graveyard at the start of the game. Both flasks refill when resting at a Site of Grace. One sip of the Flask of Crimson Tears restores 250 HP at +0 and 810 HP at +12.

One sip of the Flask of Cerulean Tears restores 80 FP at +0 and 220 FP at +12. Charges are shared between the two flasks. The split between them can be changed at any Site of Grace.

Flask Upgrades

Flask upgrades are made from the Flask menu while resting at a Site of Grace. Sacred Tears raise the potency of both flasks one level at a time, up to +12. The early Sacred Tears give the biggest jumps in healing. Golden Seeds add charges, up to 14 in total.

Each new charge costs more seeds than the last, from 1 seed up to 5.

Wondrous Physick

The Flask of Wondrous Physick lies in a basin in front of the statue at the Third Church of Marika in Limgrave. The Twin Maiden Husks sell it if it was not picked up before two Shardbearers fall. Two Crystal Tears can be mixed into it at any Site of Grace. Drinking it grants the effects of both tears at once.

It has a single charge that refills at a Site of Grace. Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears do not affect it. Crystal Tears sit at the feet of Minor Erdtrees and in other spots across the Lands Between. A mix chosen for the next fight makes the flask far stronger.

Everyday Tools

Melina gives the Spectral Steed Whistle after resting at the third Site of Grace. The whistle calls Torrent at once, and a fallen Torrent is revived for one Flask of Crimson Tears charge. Torrent comes back with half of his health after a revive. Rowa Raisin, Sweet Raisin and Frozen Raisin heal Torrent while riding, which saves flask charges.

Memory of Grace returns the user to the last Site of Grace used, but all runes held are lost. It also frees a character stuck in the scenery when fast travel is blocked. The Lantern hangs at the waist, so both hands stay free for weapons and shields. Merchant Kalé at the Church of Elleh sells the Telescope for 500 runes.

Combat Tools

Several tools cost FP on each use instead of being used up. The Wraith Calling Bell, Omen Bairn, Regal Omen Bairn and Horned Bairn send homing spirits at enemies. Each piece of the Omen set raises the damage of both Omen bairns by 5%. The Regal Omen Bairn is traded from Finger Reader Enia for the Remembrance of the Omen King.

The Ancestral Infant's Head raises a geyser of magic damage that scales with Intelligence at A. The Perfumed Oil of Ranah sprays fire that scales with Dexterity at A. The Rock Heart and the Priestess Heart turn the user into a dragon, but all armor must be removed first. Using a heart again while transformed raises the damage of its dragon incantations by 20% for 60 seconds.

Boss Tools

Mohg's Shackle slams Mohg to the ground and stuns him briefly. It works only twice per fight and only before his second phase. It lies at the bottom of the large pipe room in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. The Blasphemous Claw deflects the sword attacks of Maliketh that glow gold.

Recusant Bernahl drops the claw when he invades in Crumbling Farum Azula. Miquella's Great Rune dispels the charm that Miquella places during the Promised Consort Radahn fight. It drops from the Scadutree Avatar and works without a visit to a Divine Tower.
