Elden Ring - Bell Bearings

Bell bearings are offered to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to add goods to their shop. They keep a merchant's stock on sale after that merchant dies. The miner bearings turn smithing stones into a steady purchase.

How They Work

Each bell bearing is offered to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold. Its goods are added to their shop and can be bought at any time after that. A merchant's bell bearing adds the stock that merchant used to sell. Killing a merchant closes that shop, and the bearing brings the wares back through the Husks.

Other bearings lie in the world or drop from bosses and invaders. The wares of the miner, picker and peddler bearings carry over into New Game Plus. Bell bearings tied to named characters are lost when a new cycle of New Game Plus begins.

Upgrade Materials

Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [1] drops from the Crystalian boss in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel and adds Smithing Stone [1] and Smithing Stone [2]. Later miner bearings add higher stones, up to Smithing Stone [7] and Smithing Stone [8] from the Godskin Duo in Crumbling Farum Azula. Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing [1] drops from the Fallingstar Beast in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel and adds Somber Smithing Stone [1] and Somber Smithing Stone [2]. Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing [5] in Crumbling Farum Azula adds Somber Smithing Stone [9].

Iji's Bell Bearing also adds Somber Smithing Stone [1] through Somber Smithing Stone [4]. Glovewort Picker's bell bearings add grave glovewort, and Ghost-Glovewort Picker's bell bearings add ghost glovewort. The ghost glovewort bearings lie in Nokron, Eternal City, Nokstella, Eternal City and Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

Bell Bearing Hunter

The Bell Bearing Hunter invades only at night at certain merchant shacks. At the Warmaster's Shack in Stormhill he drops the Bone Peddler's Bell Bearing, which adds Thin Beast Bones and Hefty Beast Bone. At the Church of Vows he drops the Meat Peddler's Bell Bearing. At the Hermit Merchant's Shack in the Capital Outskirts he drops the Medicine Peddler's Bell Bearing, which adds Neutralizing, Stanching, Thawfrost and Stimulating Boluses.

At the Isolated Merchant's Shack in Greyoll's Dragonbarrow he drops the Gravity Stone Peddler's Bell Bearing.

Characters

Named characters leave a bell bearing when they die, often as part of their quest. Kalé's Bell Bearing brings back the Crafting Kit, the Cracked Pot and his early cookbooks. Patches' Bell Bearing adds Stonesword Keys, the Grace Mimic and Missionary's Cookbook [2]. Thops's Bell Bearing lies on his body after he is given the Academy Glintstone Key.

D's Bell Bearing adds the Litany of Proper Death and Order's Blade. Blackguard's Bell Bearing adds Rya's Necklace. Boiled Prawn and Boiled Crab are added only if one of each was bought from Blackguard Big Boggart before he died.

Realm of Shadow

Many bell bearings in the Realm of Shadow hang in pots on cliffs and ravine walls. Each hanging pot must be shot down with a bow or another ranged attack. The Herbalist's Bell Bearing adds Rada Fruit. The Greasemonger's Bell Bearing adds Root Resin and Knot Resin.

The Mushroom-Seller's bearings add Mushroom, Redflesh Mushroom, Toxic Mushroom and Whiteflesh Mushroom. The Spellmachinist's Bell Bearing lies inside Rabbath's Rise and adds Rabbath's Greatbolt. Moore's Bell Bearing adds its poison wares only if Thiollier has moved on in his quest.
