Elden Ring - Crystal Tears

Crystal tears are mixed into the Flask of Wondrous Physick to decide what the flask does when drunk. The flask holds two tears at once, so a pair can heal, boost damage or shield the drinker. Most effects last three minutes.

Flask Mixing

The Flask of Wondrous Physick holds up to two crystal tears at a time. Tears are mixed and swapped at any Site of Grace. The first Crimson Crystal Tear lies beside the flask itself at the Third Church of Marika. The Crimson Crystal Tear restores half of the maximum HP, and a second copy mixed in restores HP fully.

The Cerulean Crystal Tear does the same for FP. Most timed effects last three minutes.

Minor Erdtrees

Most tears drop from the bosses that guard Minor Erdtrees. The Erdtree Avatar in the Weeping Peninsula drops the Opaline Bubbletear and the Crimsonburst Crystal Tear. The Erdtree Avatar in northeast Liurnia of the Lakes drops the Magic-, Holy- and Lightning-Shrouding Cracked Tears. The Putrid Avatar near the Smoldering Church in Caelid drops the Greenburst Crystal Tear and the Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear.

Wormface on the Altus Plateau drops the Speckled Hardtear and the Crimsonspill Crystal Tear. The Ulcerated Tree Spirit on Mt. Gelmir drops the Cerulean Hidden Tear and the Leaden Hardtear. Other tears sit in stone bowls and sap basins, such as the pair at the Minor Erdtree in Mistwood. In the Realm of Shadow, tears drop from Furnace Golems.

Damage Boosts

Each Shrouding Cracked Tear raises one damage type by 20% for three minutes. Against other players, the Shrouding boost drops to 12.5%. The Holy-, Lightning- and Flame-Shrouding tears stack with the matching Scorpion Charm. The Spiked Cracked Tear raises the power of charged attacks.

The Thorny Cracked Tear builds attack power with each landed hit in a chain. The Stonebarb Cracked Tear raises stance damage by 30% for thirty seconds. The Bloodsucking Cracked Tear raises damage by 20% while HP drains every second. The knot tears each add 10 to one attribute, such as Strength or Faith.

Defense

The Opaline Hardtear raises all damage negation by 15% for three minutes. The Opaline Bubbletear greatly cuts the damage from the next hit. The Crimson Bubbletear heals once, automatically, when HP falls very low. The Leaden Hardtear stops many attacks from staggering the drinker for ten seconds.

The Speckled Hardtear cures current status ailments and raises every resistance. The Purifying Crystal Tear greatly cuts the damage from the Bloodboon Ritual of Mohg, Lord of Blood. The Twiggy Cracked Tear keeps all runes safe on death for three minutes.

Resources

The Cerulean Hidden Tear sets every FP cost to zero for ten seconds. The Viridian Hidden Tear sets every stamina cost to zero for fifteen seconds. The Greenburst Crystal Tear speeds up stamina recovery and stacks with the Green Turtle Talisman. The Crimson-Sapping and Cerulean-Sapping Cracked Tears restore HP or FP with every landed hit.

The Glovewort Crystal Tear raises the damage of Spirit Ashes. The Winged Crystal Tear raises maximum equip load by a large amount.

Pitfalls

The Ruptured Crystal Tear makes the drinker explode with holy damage. That blast also hurts the drinker, and the self-damage ignores damage negation. The Windy Crystal Tear makes rolls safer but lowers all damage negation by 15%. The Crimsonburst Dried Tear heals nearby allies but never the drinker.

The Purifying Crystal Tear works only in the fight with Mohg, Lord of Blood. Furnace Golems have armored legs, so hefty fire or furnace pots thrown into the head basket are needed to hurt them.
