Elden Ring - Multiplayer Items

Multiplayer items connect worlds for co-operation, duels and invasions. Furled fingers and effigies call helpers, bloody fingers send invaders, and cipher rings bring hunters to defend a host. Messages and prattling pates let players talk across worlds.

Co-operation

The Tarnished's Furled Finger places a cooperative summon sign for other players to use. A summoned cooperator's goal is to defeat the area boss of the host's world. The Furlcalling Finger Remedy shows nearby cooperative signs in gold and competitive signs in red. Summoning a player through a sign starts multiplayer.

Spirit Ashes cannot be called while the remedy is active. The Small Golden Effigy places a cooperative sign at nearby activated summoning pools. Helping a host defeat a boss rewards a Furlcalling Finger Remedy. The Finger Severer removes a summoned player, or sends a cooperator back home.

Finding Them

The Tarnished's Furled Finger and the Finger Severer lie near the lift out of the Stranded Graveyard. The Small Golden Effigy waits at the Effigy of the Martyr near The First Step Site of Grace. The Small Red Effigy and the Duelist's Furled Finger share a corpse northeast of the Stormhill Shack Site of Grace. The Furlcalling Finger Remedy is crafted with the Crafting Kit from two Erdleaf Flowers.

Merchant Kalé, Patches and Gatekeeper Gostoc sell the remedy for 1,000 runes. The Twin Maiden Husks sell the White Cipher Ring and the Blue Cipher Ring for 1,000 runes each.

Invasions

Bloody fingers send the user into another player's world to defeat the Host of Fingers. The Festering Bloody Finger is used up whether or not the hunt succeeds. White Mask Varré at the Rose Church hands out Festering Bloody Fingers and later the reusable Bloody Finger. The Recusant Finger lies in the drawing-room of Volcano Manor after joining the manor.

Invaders receive Phantom Fingers that move them to a new spot near the host. That spot ignores height, so it can drop the invader at the bottom of a cliff. An invasion counts as a win if the host dies while the invader is present. With Mohg's Great Rune active, invaders also receive Phantom Great Runes.

Hunters and Duels

The White Cipher Ring sends an automatic call for a hunter when the user's world is invaded. The Blue Cipher Ring keeps the user on standby to answer those calls as a hunter. A hunter's goal is to defeat the invader of the world that called. The Taunter's Tongue lets invaders in without any cooperator present and shortens the wait between invasions.

Mad Tongue Alberich drops the tongue at the Roundtable Hold. The Duelist's Furled Finger places a duel sign, and the Small Red Effigy spreads duel signs to summoning pools. A duelist's goal is to defeat the Host of Fingers.

Messages

The Tarnished's Wizened Finger opens the message menu. A written message appears in other players' worlds. A Scriptstone costs 2 FP and makes more player messages appear while it is active. A Grace Mimic looks like a Site of Grace, but its guiding ray points in a random direction.

Prattling Pates play short voice lines such as "Hello" and "Wonderful". The pates are never used up, so each one can be played again and again.
