Elden Ring - Spell Books

Scrolls and prayerbooks are handed to spell teachers to add new spells to their shops. Scrolls hold sorceries for sorcery teachers. Prayerbooks hold incantations for clerics.

Teachers

Scrolls can be given to Sorceress Sellen, Preceptor Seluvis or Miriel, Pastor of Vows. Prayerbooks can be given to Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows. Miriel, Pastor of Vows at the Church of Vows accepts both kinds. A teacher who receives a book sells its spells for runes.

Sorcery Scrolls

The Royal House Scroll lies on a corpse atop a ruin in a hilltop camp east of the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace in Limgrave. It adds Glintblade Phalanx and Carian Slicer. The Academy Scroll lies in a graveyard west of the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes. It adds Great Glintstone Shard and Swift Glintstone Shard.

The Conspectus Scroll lies in a room past the Schoolhouse Classroom Site of Grace in Raya Lucaria Academy. It adds Glintstone Cometshard and Star Shower.

Prayerbooks

The Godskin Prayerbook waits in a sealed cellar of Stormveil Castle and adds Black Flame and Black Flame Blade. A Leyndell Knight south of the Artist's Shack in Liurnia of the Lakes drops the Dragon Cult Prayerbook. That book adds Lightning Spear, Honed Bolt and Electrify Armament. The Fire Monks' Prayerbook lies in a Fire Monk camp in southern Liurnia of the Lakes and adds O, Flame! and Surge, O Flame!.

The Assassin's Prayerbook waits behind two imp statue seals in the Roundtable Hold and adds Assassin's Approach and Darkness. The Two Fingers' Prayerbook in the Fortified Manor of Leyndell, Royal Capital adds Lord's Heal and Lord's Aid. The Giant's Prayerbook at the top of the Guardians' Garrison adds Giantsflame Take Thee and Flame, Fall Upon Them. The Ancient Dragon Prayerbook in Crumbling Farum Azula adds Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear and Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike.

Best Uses

The Royal House Scroll brings Carian Slicer within reach early in Limgrave. The Conspectus Scroll adds Glintstone Cometshard for Intelligence builds. Lightning incantation builds start with the Dragon Cult Prayerbook and finish with the Ancient Dragon Prayerbook. Fire incantation builds pair the Fire Monks' Prayerbook with the Giant's Prayerbook.

Pitfalls

The Assassin's Prayerbook costs three Stonesword Keys across two statues. The Godskin Prayerbook also sits behind an imp statue seal. The incantations of the Golden Order Principia also need Intelligence. The Golden Order Principia plays a part in the quest shared by Brother Corhyn and Goldmask.
