Mimic's Veil is a tool in Elden Ring. Players can grab it early, in Stormveil Castle.
Mimic's Veil is a reusable golden veil that disguises its wearer as a nearby object. The object is picked from things found in the current area, such as statues, pots or small trees. Enemies do not notice a disguised character that stays still. It is handy for sneaking past patrols, setting up backstabs or ambushing other players.
Effect
Each use costs 6 FP. The disguise lasts until the user takes damage, rolls, jumps, attacks or uses an item. Standing still keeps enemies from spotting the disguise. The veil is never used up.
"Golden veil of intricate design. Uses FP to mimic nearby objects. When Godrick was hounded from Leyndell, the Royal Capital, this was one of a multitude of treasures he took with him. Also known as 'Marika's Mischief.'"
How to Get Mimic's Veil Guide
- Rest at the Rampart Tower Site of Grace in Stormveil Castle.
- Go back to the room where the Grafted Scion was fought and climb the stairs on the right.
- Defeat the Banished Knight in the next room.
- Open the chest on the raised platform to take the Mimic's Veil.

- Standing still while disguised also blocks the madness from the Frenzied Flame tower in Liurnia.
- Only one can be held, and it cannot be sold.
