The most successful, newly decorated recruits are sometimes gifted weapons dipped in gold. They aren't any sharper than their less impressive counterparts, but serve as a status symbol among the group.

Golden Recruit Axe is a two-handed axe that deals cutting damage. It adds life leech and crit damage. Renewal restores its durability with every kill.

Damage By Level

Base damage grows with item level and with rarity. Two-handed weapons deal one and a half times as much as one-handed ones. The table shows the base damage before perks and gems. Each perk adds its own bonus on top.

Enhancements by Level

Each upgrade at the Blacksmith raises a copy by one level and unlocks the next enhancement. The levels count from the copy's own level, so a level 9 copy unlocks them at levels 10 to 14. Rarity sets how many upgrades a copy takes: one for common, up to five for legendary.

These skills make axes stronger or add new moves to them.

Lore

The best new recruits sometimes receive a weapon dipped in gold. It cuts no better than a plain axe. Among the troops it serves as a badge of status. Its partner, the Golden War Hero Axe, goes to the soldiers who come home from war. For some veterans, that gift only brings back a painful past.

Notes

Its veteran counterpart is the Golden War Hero Axe. Both golden axes are two-handed axes found only in the Veilwater Basin. Both are unique items of the Veilwater Basin in the Set List. Once found, each can be crafted again at the Blacksmith. The recruit's axe uses Gold Bars and Magma Gel, while the hero's axe uses a Diamond instead.

How to Get Golden Recruit Axe Guide

The Blacksmith forges it from Celestium Bars, a Gold Bar, Tropical Wood, a Steel Bar and Magma Gel. Crafting needs a sheltered spot. Crafted copies are Rare, at item level 46.
