Golden War Hero Axe is the best axe in the game. Golden War Hero Axe is a two-handed axe that deals cutting damage. It does extra damage to the Fell and adds life leech. Renewal restores its durability with every kill.

Damage By Level

Base damage grows with item level and with rarity. Two-handed weapons deal one and a half times as much as one-handed ones. The table shows the base damage before perks and gems. Each perk adds its own bonus on top.

Enhancements by Level

Each upgrade at the Blacksmith raises a copy by one level and unlocks the next enhancement. The levels count from the copy's own level, so a level 9 copy unlocks them at levels 10 to 14. Rarity sets how many upgrades a copy takes: one for common, up to five for legendary.

The Blacksmith forges it from Celestium Bars, Diamond, Tropical Wood and a Steel Bar. Crafting needs a sheltered spot. Crafted copies are Rare, at item level 46.

Notes

Once the axe is found, the Blacksmith can craft a Rare copy of it. The crafted copy uses Celestium Bars, Diamonds, Tropical Wood and Steel Bars. Its text tells of war veterans showered in gold, for whom the gifts only recall a harrowing past. Health leech comes with the first upgrade, and fire damage with the second and fourth. Renewal, the third perk, restores durability each time an enemy falls.
