The Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow is an upgraded Dwemer crossbow whose bolts ignore half of a target's armor. It keeps the Dwarven Crossbow's 22 base damage. It opens up after the last Ancient Technology quest for Sorine Jurard at Fort Dawnguard.

Any weapon enchantment can be placed on an Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow at an arcane enchanter.

Gameplay Tips and Tricks
- Forge it at the forge in Fort Dawnguard with one Dwarven Crossbow and two Quicksilver Ingots. The Dwarven Smithing perk is required.
- Temper it at a grindstone with a Dwarven Metal Ingot. The Dwarven Smithing perk doubles the improvement.
- The armor-piercing property counts separately from enchantments, so an arcane enchanter can still add one.

Upgrades
An Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow is improved at a grindstone with one Dwarven Metal Ingot per improvement. The Dwarven Smithing perk doubles the improvement, so each quality tier needs less Smithing skill. An enchanted copy can only be improved with the Arcane Blacksmith perk.

Weapon Levels
Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow has the same damage at every character level.
