The Dragonbone Bow is the best bow in Skyrim Special Edition because it has the highest base damage. The bow is capable of unleashing the most powerful archery sneak attacks.
The Madness Bow added in Skyrim Anniversary Edition or Saints & Seducers DLC is slightly better, dealing more 1 more base damage than the Dragonbone Bow. While the Amber Bow deals the same damage but is considerably lighter.

How to Get the Dragonbone Bow?
Where to find the Dragonbone Bow Location?
There are several possible ways to get the Dragonbone Bow in Skyrim:
- You can find the Dragonbone Bow during the Dawnguard Questline when you enter the Soul Cairn you must battle three of the Keepers, one of them wield Dragonbone bow. However the Keeper only has a chance to drop the dragonbone Bow if you are at least level 45 or higher (See walkthrough guide on weapon page).
- The Dragonbone Bow can be crafted at level 100 smithing skill with the Dragon smithing perk. Crafting them requires Dragon Bones, Ebony Ingots and Leather Strips.
- The Dragonbone weapons does not appear in any loot lists once you reach a certain level in Skyrim.
- You can add weapons to your inventory using Console Commands, by typing "player.additem [Dragonbone Bow ID] 1".

Weapon Levels
Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
The Dragonbone Bow is not a leveled weapon.
