The Crescent Moon Axe is a Greataxe in Elden Ring. It is found early on, in Stormveil Castle.

The Crescent Moon Axe is a greataxe with a large, arcing blade and a long handle, its name said to have been spurred by nostalgia, and it specializes in sweeping through foes with its reach. It is a rare drop from the large axe-wielding Exile Soldiers in Stormveil Castle, two of which stand near the Rampart Tower Site of Grace. It shares a unique heavy attack with the Axe of Godrick, a wide spinning swing that clears groups, and it scales with Strength and Dexterity at D. It weighs 12.5 and accepts Ashes of War, including Sword Dance, whose opening slash matches its one-handed heavy spin. It suits a Strength build that wants to sweep crowds and stagger single foes.

Skill

War Cry costs 16 FP. The wielder lets out a war cry that grants a 40 second weapon buff raising physical attack power. While it lasts, strong attacks become heavier overhead slams and upward slashes, and charged strong attacks rush forward into the blow. The Roar Medallion boosts these altered attacks, and as a weapon buff it replaces greases and armament-buffing spells. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

"Give a war cry to rally the spirit and increase attack power. While active, strong attacks change to charging attacks."

Suggested Build

Coated in fire by Flaming Strike, it sweeps groups with heavy and charged heavy attacks, uses jump attacks on single targets and spams light attacks to keep tough enemies staggered.
