The Longhaft Axe is a Greataxe in Elden Ring. It is available within the first few hours of a run.

The Longhaft Axe is a large iron axe with a long handle, the weapon of the maltreated Misbegotten, whose resentment-charged blows are difficult to stop thanks to the force of its length. It is a rare drop from the Misbegotten that wield it; a sleeping one at Castle Morne in the Weeping Peninsula is easy to kill, and two near the Windmill Village Site of Grace make for efficient farming. It has long reach and a higher hyper armor modifier than other greataxes when two-handed. It scales with Strength and Dexterity at D, accepts Ashes of War, and reaches 765 attack rating one-handed and 820 two-handed at 80 Strength with a Heavy infusion. It suits a Strength build that trades hits at long reach.

Skill

War Cry costs 16 FP. The wielder lets out a war cry that grants a 40 second weapon buff raising physical attack power. While it lasts, strong attacks become heavier overhead slams and upward slashes, and charged strong attacks rush forward into the blow. The Roar Medallion boosts these altered attacks, and as a weapon buff it replaces greases and armament-buffing spells. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Suggested Build

Two-handed for its stronger hyper armor, it trades heavy swings at long reach without being interrupted.
