The Winged Greathorn is a Greataxe in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Mid game. It is found around Siofra River, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.

Upgrades

It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.

Skill

Soul Stifler costs 12 FP. Raise the greathorn's wings to summon a soul-sapping miasma. Enemies in the affected area will temporarily suffer from reduced defense. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 30 and Dex 20 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.

Notes

A unique horn in which the power of ancestral spirits fiercely dwells, this large, wing-shaped specimen is wielded as a weapon of spirit worship. In the ancestral spirit-worshipping faith, these are considered envoys' wings, made to reap the lives of beings which experience no sprouting.

How to Get Winged Greathorn Guide

Trade the Remembrance of the Regal Ancestor, obtained by defeating the Regal Ancestor Spirit, with Finger Reader Enia.
Alternatively, use one of the Wandering Mausoleums to duplicate it (only one can be obtained per playthrough using either method).
