Ember of Messmer is a crafting material in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
The Ember of Messmer is a cord-like ember left over from Messmer's flame, the symbol of his crusade. It still smoulders as if it were crawling along the ground. It is found mainly in Scadu Altus. It goes into the Fire Coil, the Fire Spritestone and the Hefty Furnace Pot.
Gathering
Embers lie on the ground in Messmer Soldier camps, often in tents or beside supplies. The Shadow Keep holds many more on corpses.

- In the Messmer Soldier camp just north-west of Moorth Ruins.
- On a corpse in the ruined buildings outside the Ruins of Unte.
