Wolf Armor

Wolf Armor

Wolf Armor is the Mountain's heavy set, and the one that makes the biome survivable. The chestpiece and the cape both resist frost, which is what stops Freezing.

The set gives 61 armour across 4 pieces, half again what Iron Armor manages, with the usual -10%. It needs Silver, so the Wishbone and Bonemass come first.

Its frost resistance does not stack with Frost Resistance Mead or with Yagluth's power, so wearing it frees up that slot rather than adding to it. It does override the frost damage weakness you get from being Wet, though while you are Wet a single source of frost resistance no longer stops Freezing.

How to Craft

Every piece is crafted at a level 1 to 2 Forge and a level 2 Workbench, from:

Name Image Biome Crafting Station Spawn ID
Silver Silver Mountain Smelter spawn Silver
Wolf Pelt Wolf Pelt Mountain - spawn WolfPelt
Drake trophy Drake Trophy Mountain - spawn TrophyHatchling
Chain Chain Swamp - spawn Chain
Wolf Fang Wolf Fang Mountain - spawn WolfFang
Wolf trophy Wolf Trophy Mountain - spawn TrophyWolf

When to Use It

This is a mid game set. Silver lies under the Mountain snow and you need a Wishbone to find it, so the set comes after Bonemass.

Notes

The helmet's horns point backwards rather than out to the sides. Neither matches anything a Viking actually wore, since the horned helmet is a 19th-century stage costume.
