The Ice Giant is a huge Ogroid that rules the island of Undvik in Skellige. It is fought at the end of The Lord of Undvik, a secondary quest in Skellige.
Lore
The Ice Giant is a powerful, primeval monster. It may well be the last of its race. It looks like a man in many ways, but its skin is as blue as frost and it stands taller than a tree.
It seems able to reason. Every attempt to talk to it has ended the same way, though: in a quick and painful death. A man named Rasmund Kvaalkje once admitted to fleeing only one time in a whole life: from the Ice Giant. Rasmund felt no shame about it.
Weaknesses
Coat the blade with Ogroid Oil and keep Quen up at all times. The giant hits very hard, and the shield takes the worst of each blow.
The fight has two phases. At first the giant fights with its bare hands. Quick footwork is the best defense. Dodge its swings, then strike several times before it recovers.
Once it has lost about a third of its health, the giant grabs a ship's anchor on a chain. It fights with the anchor for the rest of the battle. The anchor swings in a straight line, so dodge to the right or left. The heavy blows leave openings. Strike right after the anchor slams into the ground.
