"Incursion" Painting is a painting in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.

"Incursion" is a painting found in an artist's shack on the Gravesite Plain. It shows a huge natural stone bridge set on fire. The painted spot overlooks the way to Belurat, Tower Settlement. Solving it rewards the Serpent Crest Shield.

Use

The painting shows a great stone bridge in flames during Messmer's crusade. The view was painted from the high ground west of the Greatbridge North Site of Grace. Reaching that spot reveals the painter's spirit, which fades and leaves the reward.

"Work of a wandering artist. Reminiscence of a painting titled 'Incursion.' This painter is said to have captured the landscapes seen during the last moments of those welcomed into death's embrace. The soul of the painter, and vestiges of the dead's last moments can be discovered by visiting the location depicted even now."

Solution

Travel to the Greatbridge North Site of Grace and head west until the bridge to Belurat, Tower Settlement comes into view. The painter's spirit appears near two small trees at the edge of the rocks. Solving it reveals Serpent Crest Shield.
