The Smithscript Axe is a Axe in Elden Ring. It carries the highest physical attack of any axe in the game.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Land of Shadow in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Why Players Pick It

Shadow of the Erdtree weapon. Ties for highest base physical at 133 and is throwable: strong attack or jumping strong attack hurls the axe, per its in-game description. E/E scaling in Int and Fai on top of D/D physical. Found at Taylew's Ruined Forge.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D, Dex at D, Int at E and Fai at E, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 13, Dex 10, Int 11 and Fai 11 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

This weapon can be found at Taylew's Ruined Forge.
Follow the path until you reach a crumbled floor.
Jump over the gap and turn left to enter a room with a Golem Smith.
The axe is at the far end of the room.
