The Ghostly Shield is the best Shield you can get to defend against Fire damage in Enshrouded. The Ward Shield has a 10% resistance to fire damage. While its block stat is low its still very effective at parrying attackers. It's possible to craft a low level version of the shield or loot a higher level version in the wilderness.
The magic shield allows you to block against physical attacks. Blocking drains stamina.

How to get the Ghostly Shield
It is possible to find the Legendary Ghostly Shield in treasure chest loot in Enshrouded, if looted from a chest in a high level area this yield a shield with better stats than the lower level version that can be crafted at the Blacksmith. To unlock the Ghostly Shield crafting recipe you must unlock the materials needed to craft it. You can use the guide below to do this:
- Unlock the Blacksimth.
- Build the Forge and Kiln which is requred to craft the shield.
- To get charcoal, burn some Dirt and Wood Logs inside the kiln.
- Once you have obtained both Charcoal and Copper Ore, the blacksmith will give you a new quest called Crucible Needed for A Smelter. Once you finish the quest and obtain the Crucible you can craft the Smelter.
- Use the Smelter with Charcoal and Copper Ore to create Copper Bars.
- You can obtain Amber here.
- Now you have obtain all the materials you can talk to the Blacksmith to craft the Ghostly Shield.
