The Riptide is an incredibly powerful Legendary Shield that can be found at a fixed location quite early on in Enshrouded. The shield boasts a high durability with an innate ten percent Poison Resistance which is incredibly useful at this point in the game against certain foes.

How to get the Riptide
You can get the Riptide shield at a fixed location in Enshrouded (it cannot be crafted) by following the written guide below:
- To find the Riptide you must go to the cave location of Grind Teeth Grotto, located west from the Revelwood Ancient Spire. Carry on west past the town of Willow Crush down the shroud covered valley until you reach Grind Teeth Grotto at the west edge of the map.
- Once inside the cave you can find the Riptide Shield in the back of the cave to the south west. You must jump over the red shroud lava floor and follow the narrow tunnel to the legendary chest. This chest will always spawn the Riptide when looted, you can farm multiple copies of this unique armor from the same chest location.
