The Isometric Stabilizer lowers the Stamina cost of every attack V makes, with guns and with melee weapons alike. It is the Iconic variant of Clutch Padding, which only helps with shooting. Its Reflexes attunement trims every other Stamina cost as well. A Reflexes build that swings, shoots and dashes all fight long gets the most out of it. Less Stamina spent means longer combos and fewer pauses to recover. The Isometric Stabilizer is a mid to late game Phantom Liberty implant, sold by the ripperdocs in Dogtown from level 20 and found in Dogtown airdrops.
Effect
The Isometric Stabilizer is a passive Circulatory System implant. Attacks with any weapon cost Stamina, and this implant cuts that cost by a set percentage. The cut covers gunfire, melee swings and every other attack. Clutch Padding gives a similar cut for shooting alone. The higher tiers raise the size of the cut.
From Tier 3 onward, the implant is attuned to Reflexes. Each Reflexes point lowers all Stamina costs by half a percent. That covers more than attacks. Dodges, Dashes and other actions that use Stamina also get cheaper. A character with full Reflexes saves a tenth of the cost on everything.
Its extra stat bonuses suit a gunfighter. The first bonus raises Reload Speed. Aim Speed arrives at Tier 2 and higher. Explosion Damage Resistance needs the Driver Update perk.
How to Get Isometric Stabilizer Guide
- Install Phantom Liberty and reach Dogtown.
- Visit a ripperdoc in Dogtown from level 20 to buy it at Tier 3.
- Return at level 30 for Tier 4 and at level 40 for Tier 5.
- Loot it from an airdrop cache in Dogtown, marked by red smoke.

Upgrades
The Isometric Stabilizer comes in Tiers 3, 4 and 5, with plus steps in between. Each step raises the Stamina cut a little. The capacity cost stays the same at every tier. A ripperdoc can upgrade it with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++. Cyberware Capacity Shards and the Edgerunner perk help make room for its cost.
The table shows what each tier step of Isometric Stabilizer costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 3 to Tier 3+ | 40 Tier 3 components | - |
| Tier 3+ to Tier 4 | 30 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4 to Tier 4+ | 40 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4+ to Tier 5 | 30 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5 to Tier 5+ | 40 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 100 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
The Isometric Stabilizer belongs in a Reflexes build. Blade users gain from Lead And Steel and Finisher: Bladerunner, which both cut the Stamina cost of blade attacks further. Dash cuts the Stamina cost of dodging and dashing. Ready, Rested, Reloaded lowers the Stamina cost of assault rifles and SMGs. Spray And Pray lowers the Stamina cost of hip fire. Sharpshooter grants stacks that raise Stamina regen.
Body users with blunt weapons gain from Wrecking Ball and Quake, which also cut Stamina costs. The Adrenaline Booster restores Stamina after a melee kill. Together these turn Stamina into a resource that rarely runs out.
Select a Build
The build fights up close with blades and Gorilla Arms. Berserk stays off until the character has taken damage and used a few Health items, then it makes the character invulnerable with no Stamina limit. A sprint into a group followed by a jump and Quake blasts every enemy nearby.

Lore
The Isometric Stabilizer shares its in-game line with Clutch Padding: "Empty a full clip and you'll still have the energy to take cover." The line sums up the idea of the implant. V can fight hard and still have the breath to move. It is one of the Iconic implants that arrived with Phantom Liberty and are sold only inside Dogtown.
Notes
- Clutch Padding is the base implant. It costs far less capacity, and its cut applies to shooting alone.
