The Pata is a Fist in Elden Ring.
When to Use It
Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Realm of Shadow in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.
Upgrades
Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.
Build
Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 11 and Dex 15 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.
Critical Damage
Critical 110. A backstab, or a riposte after a guard break, is multiplied by this, where 100 is the baseline most weapons carry.
- The highest critical of its class.
- It pays for getting behind an enemy or breaking their stance rather than trading hits in the open.
Notes
A weapon comprised of a linear, double-sided blade attached to a substantial guard. Wielded by the Oathseeker Knights. This versatile armament can be swung about like a fist or used in the manner of a straight sword.
