The Katar is a Fist in Elden Ring. It shows up mid-run, in Caelid.

The Katar is an imported dagger design with a distinctive handle, its blade swung as an extension of the fist. It is found in a chest in a dark room above the Lion Guardian at Fort Gael in Caelid. It is a paired fist with fast attacks and piercing heavy attacks, and its critical hits are strong for its class. Its default skill, Impaling Thrust, is a forward lunge that pierces guards, an Ash of War fists cannot normally take, so infusing the weapon gives it up. It suits a Faith or Dexterity character who buffs it and trades blows in close.

How to Get Katar Guide

Found inside a chest in Fort Gael, located in southwestern Caelid.
The Katar can be found by dropping down to the area overlooking the Elder Lion and entering the dark room.

Skill

Impaling Thrust costs 9 FP. The wielder gathers power, then lunges forward into a strong piercing thrust that punches through an enemy's guard. Most of the damage gets past a raised shield, which makes it a reliable answer to turtling enemies and players. The thrust can be parried. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Critical Damage

Its critical rating is 110, above the 100 most of its class carries, so backstabs and ripostes land noticeably harder. Nothing else in its class has a higher one.
