The Caestus is a Fist in Elden Ring. Players can grab it early, in Stormveil Castle.

The Caestus is a fist weapon of tough leather inlaid with iron rivets, built for striking with the fists. It is sold by Gatekeeper Gostoc at Stormveil Castle, or by the Twin Maiden Husks once given his Bell Bearing. It comes as a pair, so two-handing it equips one on each hand, and it throws fast punches with a unique multi-hit heavy attack shared with the Spiked Caestus. Its fast attacks apply status effects easily, and its Endure skill raises poise and damage negation so it can punch through enemy combos. It suits an early Strength or quality character who wants fast Strike damage.

How to Get Caestus Guide

Sold by Gatekeeper Gostoc in Stormveil Castle, or by the Twin Maiden Husks after giving them Gostoc's Bell Bearing, for 800 runes.

Skill

Endure costs 9 FP. The wielder braces in an anchored stance that for three seconds raises damage negation by 45 percent and greatly boosts poise, so most attacks fail to stagger. Some light one-handed attacks even bounce off, though headshots and launching attacks can still interrupt the wielder. Heavy weapons take noticeably longer to enter the stance. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

Suggested Build

Dual wield the pair for fast Strike combos, using Endure to keep attacking through enemy flurries.
