The Red-Hot Whetblade is a glowing whetblade engraved with a cipher. It works like the Whetstone Knife and adds two fire affinities. It lies in Redmane Castle in Caelid. Strength and Faith builds that use fire rely on it.

With this whetblade, physical and flame-type Ashes of War can apply the Fire or Flame Art affinity. Fire adds fire damage and Strength scaling. Flame Art adds fire damage and Faith scaling.

How to Get Red-Hot Whetblade Guide

1. Travel to Redmane Castle while the Radahn Festival is not running.
2. Rest at the Chamber Outside the Plaza Site of Grace.
3. Head past the flamethrower soldiers to the building northwest of the grace.
4. Watch for the Abductor Virgin on the way in.
5. Take the whetblade from the floor inside.
6. Choose the new affinity when applying an Ash of War at a Site of Grace.
