The Frostfire Bow is a Nord Bow reforged with a Frostfire Essence. It gives up 32 pierce for 88 frost and 12 fire, for 178 total damage against the Nord Bow's 110.
How to Craft
Crafted at a level 4 Black Forge from:
- 1x Nord Bow: Hardened from Cast: Nord Bow and Liquid Frost in a Frost Foundry.
- 20x Bloodgold: Smelted from Petrified Tissue in a Blast Furnace.
- 1x Frostfire Essence: Dropped by Fallen Warriors, which you call up at a Memorial Site with three Memorial Coal.

When to Use It
End game. You need Fader dead before you can progress through the Deep North.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it twice at the Black Forge. Each step needs the station one level higher than the last, and costs the per-level amount and then twice that. Quality 4, at four times the per-level amount, needs a level 7 Black Forge, above its current maximum of 6, so that row is out of reach.

Properties
Draw to aim. The longer you hold the draw, the more accurate, faster and harder-hitting the arrow is. The bow has a single attack.
You move 5% slower while it is in your hands.
At quality 1 it deals 68 pierce, 12 fire, 88 frost and 10 spirit, 178 in total. That is 93% more than Root Fang and Storm Fang, which deal 92 at quality 1 and are the joint hardest-hitting weapons of their kind before the Deep North. Each upgrade adds 8 pierce, 3 fire, 3 frost and 5 spirit, so at quality 3 it reaches 84 pierce, 18 fire, 94 frost and 20 spirit, 216 in total.
Its hits knock back with a force of 25.
It weighs 1.5 and has 400 durability, or 500 at quality 3.
Here is how its damage lands on Deep North creatures. Pierce does full damage to Elakings, the Eyeless One, Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Hexen, Captive Fulings, Imprisoned Dvergr and Moose, and reduced damage to Barka, Fallen Warriors, Gammeltrolls, Skeletons, Krigen, Shapeless and Tiny Pulps and Kall Fimbulbringer. Fire does extra damage to Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Barka, Elakings, Skeletons, Hexen and Moose, and full damage to the Eyeless One, Krigen, Captive Fulings and Imprisoned Dvergr. It does reduced damage to Fallen Warriors, Shapeless and Tiny Pulps and Kall Fimbulbringer, and none at all to Gammeltrolls. Frost does extra damage to Shapeless and Tiny Pulps, and full damage to Fallen Warriors, Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Captive Fulings and Imprisoned Dvergr. It does reduced damage to Barka, Elakings, the Eyeless One, Gammeltrolls, Skeletons, Moose, Kall Fimbulbringer, Hexen and Krigen. Spirit does extra damage to Fallen Warriors, and full damage to Deep North Greydwarves, Skeletons and Shapeless and Tiny Pulps. It does nothing at all to Barka, Elakings, the Eyeless One, Gammeltrolls, Greydwarf Shamans, Hexen, Krigen, Captive Fulings, Imprisoned Dvergr, Moose and Kall Fimbulbringer.
Quality 4 needs a level 7 Black Forge, above its current maximum of 6, so in practice it stops at quality 3.
Crafting it from scratch and taking it to quality 3 costs 70 Bloodgold, 10 Timberwood and 4 Frostfire Essence, plus a mould and 5 Liquid Frost.
Notes
- Its Frostfire Essence drops from the Fallen Warriors summoned with three Memorial Coal at a Memorial Site.
- Once it is fully upgraded, the Forge of Potential can raise it one more level with a Bloodgold Battle Idol.
