Bonemass gives up the Wishbone, the Wishbone finds the ore, and the Mountain gives up the silver that becomes the Silver Sword, the blade nothing unclean will stand near. It deals 75 slash and 30 spirit. Its 105 total damage ranks 12th among swords, so it is a step on the ladder rather than the top of it. Spirit damage hurts Bats, Ghosts and Wraiths more than most things, and that is what to carry it for.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 3 Forge from:
- 2x Wood: chopped from any tree.
- 40x Silver: smelted from Silver Ore in a Smelter.
- 3x Leather Scraps: dropped by Boars and Bats, and dug out of muddy scrap piles.
- 5x Iron: smelted from Scrap Iron in a Smelter.

When to Use It
This is a mid game sword. Silver lies under the Mountain snow and you need a Wishbone to find it, so this comes after Bonemass.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. The stats quoted elsewhere are all quality 1, so this table shows the ladder your own copy sits on:

Properties
It has the highest spirit damage of any weapon in the game, 30 of it, and spirit is the type nothing resists. The catch is that spirit only lands on the undead and demon factions: against a Fuling or a Seeker this is a 75-slash sword, while the Black Metal Sword hits for 95.
That makes it a dungeon sword. Carry it into Burial Chambers, Sunken Crypts and Frost Caves, and carry something else outside them. It stays useful far longer than its slash number suggests, because the Ashlands is full of things spirit hurts.
Notes
Spirit damage is not dealt all at once. Like fire, it leaves an effect that stacks and deals its damage over time, so the damage lands after the swing rather than with it.
