The Dragon Towershield is a Greatshield in Elden Ring. It is one of the late rewards, found in Crumbling Farum Azula.

The Dragon Towershield is a tower shield engraved with a dragon, a symbol of protection, heavy even among greatshields and possessing exceptional guarding ability. The ancient dragons who ruled before the Erdtree would protect their lord as a wall of living rock. It is found in a chest in Crumbling Farum Azula, guarded by a Banished Knight, below the open area with the wounded ancient dragon reached from the Dragon Temple Rooftop Site of Grace. It weighs 17.5, needs 30 Strength, scales with Strength at D and accepts Ashes of War. It suits a late block-counter build that wants maximum guarding.

How to Get Dragon Towershield Guide

Found in Crumbling Farum Azula, guarded by a Banished Knight.
From the Dragon Temple Rooftop grace, proceed down to the open area with the already wounded ancient dragon.
Drop down a set of ledges to the dragon's left, enter the building and climb a ladder to find the chest.

Skill

Shield Bash costs no FP. The wielder braces behind the shield and rams forward with full body weight while keeping guard up. Weaker enemies are shoved back and can be staggered, and because the guard holds through the motion, the bash can be thrown out against incoming attacks. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

"Brace behind shield before using bodyweight to ram foes while maintaining guarding stance. Weaker enemies will be shoved backwards, and can even be staggered."

Guarding

With a guard boost of 69, a blocked hit that would cost 100 stamina only costs 31. It blocks all physical damage, and against the elements it holds up best to fire, at 67%, and worst to lightning, at 55%. If a block empties the stamina bar, the guard breaks and a critical hit can follow.

Build

Held in the off hand of a block-counter build, it shrugs off heavy combos and opens guard counters followed by critical hits.
