Lordsworn's Shield is a Greatshield in Elden Ring. It is available within the first few hours of a run.

The Lordsworn's Shield is a wooden tower shield, lightweight for a greatshield and easy to handle, commonly used in the Shattering. It is a rare drop from the greatshield-carrying Godrick Soldiers in Limgrave, several of whom stand at the Gatefront Ruins and along the path to the Castleward Tunnel. Like other greatshields it boasts high damage negation and guard capacity, and blocked attackers often flinch, opening windows to escape or counterattack. It weighs 10, needs only 16 Strength, scales with Strength at D and accepts Ashes of War. It suits an early block-counter build that cannot yet carry heavier greatshields.

Skill

Shield Bash costs 10 FP. The wielder braces behind the shield and rams forward with full body weight while keeping guard up. Weaker enemies are shoved back and can be staggered, and because the guard holds through the motion, the bash can be thrown out against incoming attacks. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

"Brace behind shield before using bodyweight to ram foes while maintaining guarding stance. Weaker enemies will be shoved backwards, and can even be staggered."

Guarding

With a guard boost of 60, a blocked hit that would cost 100 stamina only costs 40. It lets 6% of physical damage through, and against the elements it holds up best to lightning, at 52%, and worst to fire, at 44%. Running out of stamina mid-block breaks the guard and opens the wielder to a critical hit.

Build

An early greatshield for the off hand: block, let attackers flinch off the guard and punish with guard counters.
