The Golden Halberd is a Halberd in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Early game. It is found around Church of Elleh, in the opening stretch of a run, so it is one of the first real upgrades you can carry.

Why Players Pick It

's page calls it 'a great early Faith weapon, along with the Winged Scythe', with the caveat that its stat bill is daunting outside the Vagabond class. 134 physical / 87 holy at +0 and 328 / 213 at max standard, with Golden Vow built in as its skill. The costs are the class's worst: 30 Str, 13.5 weight, Somber only. Dropped by the Tree Sentinel outside the Church of Elleh, so it is available at hour one if you can beat him.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D, Dex at E and Fai at D, so Str and Fai are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 30, Dex 14 and Fai 12 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

Weighty halberd forged of gold. Wielded by the Order of Tree Sentinels, heavily equipped knights. Deals holy damage. A masterfully crafted weapon that lives up to its heft, but is difficult for one of mere human strength to wield.
