Canis Root is gathered from a small, gnarled bush that looks like a little dead tree. It grows near rocks and cliffs in the Rift and in the swamps of Hjaalmarch. Fortify One-handed and Fortify Marksman are its most useful effects for brewing.

Effects

Canis Root has four effects. Each one is listed with the potion or poison it makes. That page lists every other ingredient with the same effect.

Effect	Makes	Type
Damage Stamina	Stamina Poison	Poison
Fortify One-handed	Potion of the Warrior	Potion
Fortify Marksman	Potion of True Shot	Potion
Paralysis	Paralysis Poison	Poison

Location

Many plants grow around Folgunthur and the Apprentice Stone near Morthal. More grow near Pinepeak Cavern, Autumnshade Clearing and Shor's Stone in the Rift. The Hall of Countenance at the College of Winterhold holds a few samples.

Notes

Neloth of Tel Mithryn is fond of Canis Root tea.
